so officially, we're de facto boyfriend and girlfriend;
hong kong photos! i've taken so long, and these are just some of the photos i really wanted to show y'all, but since danni's been up right here -points to ceiling- with
alot of stuff, she's unable to show you alot of photos unfortunately. anyway, as long said, a picture paints a thousand words, so enough of talk, and more pictures.
say hello to my new bag from japan. the latest from samantha thavasa.
very paris.
my luggage always matches.
before i knew the horrors of cathay pacific.really small jet.
the train to kowloon. the airport's not totally connected so you have to take a train directly to hongkong/kowloon itself. it's quite fast, about 20 minutes, and it's nice and clean.
not purely for shopping, we sought financial advice, which was actually our primary motive for flying over.
gorgeous causeway bay. the temperature in hongkong's quite moderate actually, a little lower than the usual air-conditioning, but really nice. and of course being the "travel smart" me, i wore shorts and tees and tanks, when everyone one else was wrapped up in fur jackets. so you can guess i froze half the time.
comfort food. congee, you tiao and i don't know what but it's really good. hk has really good food.
under the ever-hot one's suggestion. hello i really sought out the shop my dear!
all the good food. french toast, eggs, bacon, horlicks, pork chop bun. major tastebud orgasm.
lovin' vivienne westwood.
street stalls sell really good drinks-mango sago and coconut sago. and then there's the uber-yummy thing that i call the ball-ball that mommy really likes.
giving it some festive love.
say hello to my darling mew mew.
the pampered dogs in LV prams.
giving it the cheeky grin. the cutest twins who are born for the cameras.
let's mini! i don't really like the car-i'm the sleek and gorgeous luxury convertible girl, but it kinda reflects what i believe in right now. EVERYTHING MINI. except bags.
gorgeous, gorgeous dior.
azarusabo's shabu shabu.
gelato mania. this outlet is dead packed i tell you.
my honey on teevee!:)
rice rolls with veggie and char siew.
the early-morning standard chartered marathon. right outside the hotel and there were drums beating for hours, so i joined in the fun. went like, " GO ZAMBIAAAA" as mr zambia ran past me and then he laughed turned and waved. and then i immediately switched loyalties and went " GO KENYAAAA." anyway i thought it was really nice cool weather to jog in, but apparently it was not to be since this guy passed away while attempting the marathon. running 40km is no joke i tell you.
and then in china where i really had a hard time adjusting. don't get me wrong-i love beijing and shanghai, but anywhere else makes me pure queasy. and rabbit. they eat rabbits. i was so traumatized i wanted to buy the rabbit and let it go but dad said this wasn't how it worked there.
food, food, food. i was too sickened just being there so i didn't touch anything. did you know the chinese people wash every utensil with their drinking tea before eating? apparently it's to practise hygiene. which didn't serve to make me feel better since i hate tea, and i cannot stand eating from utensils dipped in tea.eww.
china was boring, so it was eat eat eat. major major pigging out.
and then the highlight. daddy bought me my own pyrotechnics show for chinese valentine's day. 2 whole hours of fireworks, and we had some firecrackers too. mostly videos so i can't load it here, but it was just breathtaking. oh and then we got to watch it in my own private house area which is a total mini forbidden city which is flanked by a mini river and waterfall at it's entrance and comes with it's own chinese gardens and a kickass huge lake-the lake's bigger than my entire home estate and singapore river combined!- complete with a goose and a boat innit, and everyone sipped tea from this kettle filled with boiling water that burned in the middle of this stone table on charcoal, right in the middle of the chinese gardens. gorgeous cold weather, beautiful fireworks, and a gorgeous place of your own. my dad sure does romantic. and oh there were two very cute black dogs, christened gigi and dongdong who accompanied me around the place as guardians. but anyway i didn't really know their names so i renamed them xiaohei and heihei.haha. and xiaohei snores really, really, really loudly.
in a family's apartment.
in another chinese city. carrot cake with xo sauce, udon, dim sum, nian gao and banana roti prata. the chinese really love their roti prata. it's quite a big thing in beijing too. but it's really, really salty.
haagen-dazsing.
back in HK at every celebrity's must-eat place. the sweet dynasty. it's pretty good.
on valentine's day.
dad:" here i buy you a bowl of rice for your V day present. you must say thank you, rice is such an important present okay, what if you starve to death?"
mom:" here i buy you mango sago hearts. i give you my heart...i entrust you with it."
dad:" orh.ok."
mom:" oh no you break my heart into two and you eat my heart! you must eat it whole!now it means im heartbroken!"
me:" pffft."
doing my own peach-flavoured candy floss.
the vienna cafe that saw a long queue on V day. ahaha and my dad went to pose and forced me to take a photo. now i know what to do when i come back. i'll rent a space and open it as vienna cafe on V day only and earn lots, and lots of money! and it'll be really authentic and not serve some pseudo italian food because i lived in vienna!
honeydew sago. yum yum. late night treats!
walking the streets. the osama mask.
diggin 2006'.
dad and mom. daddy bought me this pair of black angel wings and a tiara to match to signify that im his "black hearted angel." halloween come soon so i can don it!
the hello kitty shop! the mouthless mania!
gorgeous egg tarts from tai fook. and this donut thingy that mom really loves.
one little unknown fact about me. i love monchichi.
godiva goodness.
shop and drop!
say no to cruelty.
hui lau shan and it's mango desserts. desserts are plentiful and really good in hk.
gorgeous wanton noodles. absolutely sinful.
one of my new acquisitions. hunnybun the bear that cost a whopping near 5 figure sum.my grandma says it looks as though he's ready to run and strangle, but i really think he looks like a very happy bear which made me fall in love with him instantly. he's quite big-he's up to my waist, his paws are made of leather and so is his collar,he's made out of mohair, and he has this gold-plated bell that jingles. i know that's not the point for me to buy such extravagantly expensive bears, but hell, my family's a bear collector, so every bear of ours are waaaaay expensive.and did i mention that he's a very lucky bear too? the minute we touched down, dad jokingly said that he should buy hunnybun's registration number for 4D and win back the money he spent. and lo and behold the very next day his registration number was 1st prize. but anyway, no, we were too busy once we reached singapore so no 4D winnings for us. i know, such a pity. anyway, rub his tummy for good luck!
my suddenly hip father who now sports balenciaga, bally, boss and zegna.
hello kitty crazy. my luggage. this time i came back with 100kg of stuff- from dior to hunnybun and LOTS of clothes. uncontrolled spending is really good.
yup and this time we bought hello kitty toilet paper. my mom was hell excited. oh and she bought hello kitty toilet brushes to match. i told you we buy weird things.
yes and we use hello kitty pads and liners. my boyfriend thinks we're crazy to spill our fluids on my favourite cat, but whatever, i think it's cute. no one uses kitty pads. and liners.
my hello kitty boots courtesy of my father. i told you, everything about me matches. from shoes to luggage to hygiene products. yes, i have kitty underwear too fyi.
bought a hell lot of stuff, but i'm too busy to show photos. will definitely update within the next 2 days, so check back!
