flytothesky;it's been busy busy busy busy! a little less than a month to go before i say toodles for a good period of time, and there's
alot to do. let's just say like, i've got 5% of the stuff to do done, and the rest are just, well, i dont know, waiting and praying to be done. i need some serious help. how bad is it? let's just say i
DO NOT have a place to live in. oh yes, and i have not paid my school fees as of yet. then again the mail says to start payment and blah blah on 1 feb. it's not february yet, is it? i'm clueless about which month, day and year im living in. ok so that concludes my need for major help.
i <3 hyun bin.that says enough for itself.
more on bangkok, and less of mindless ramblings.
more temple visiting.
tom yum gai noodles and lasagna. uber yummy. the food looks really good, and i paid only an average of 6 dollars per meal there.really cheap.
shoes! they have fantastic shoes there. and contrary to popular belief, shopping in bangkok is really not cheap. these shoes cost about 250 SGD-550SGD.
food food glorious food! katsu don and more lasagna!
piano performance. hello they have piano and string quartet performances in department stores just to provide background music. it's hard to believe but bangkok is culturally forward, as opposed to singapore. we get nonsense chingchong CD music in stores here.
nana's fave drink. we gulped 1 bottle of this every night. all that sugar. yuck.
my hugeass breakfast every morning! actually i ate more than that everyday. amazingly. eunice and nana would just stare and shake their heads as i wolfed down 3 plates and a bowl of cereal happily. each of them only ate a plate btw. i love my food!
the streets of the markets in bangkok.
i didn't spend much throughout the whole trip! eunice did the uncontrolled spending. that is, until i went to the latest mall. and then it was all downhill from there. siam paragon! uber uber expensive mall. i think it can rival gaysom, home of LV and the likes.
bangkok loves their brands.
ferraris, bentleys and lamborghinis. they have all the luxury cars there that you don't see in singapore. and may i mention, THEY ARE SOLD IN THE DEPARTMENT STORE ITSELF. excuse me since when did luxury cars like lamborghinis get sold in departmental stores? bangkok is really in a brandname league of it's own.
my baby drives the black version of this. hugeass hummer.
cute cafe there that reminded me alot of my room.
mommy's store!
ed hardy's a standalone store in sg and well, you pretty much get fake von dutch here. but in bangkok it's completely different. they make such brands a huge deal back here, but these are just part of the store and nothing to shout about in bangkok. even marc jacobs, lulu guinness, botkin, luellas, guess by marciano are sold as small brands in department stores there. and what do we get in takashimaya and isetans here? bonia. pardon me for loving bangkok more.
from ed hardy. ang moh lian power!
hello paul smith!
yummy sukiyaki. 5 dollars. in an upscale restaurant too. and it's really really good.almost comparable to sun with moon's.
lingerie there is HUGE. it takes up about a floor in every departmental store. and they have really pretty stuff from playboy and morgan and so on. cept that i had practically everything that was new there so i didn't really buy alot of lingerie.
me and my dog blings. the dog fashion there is really cute! and the staff there are really great. as you can see, they tried on everything i asked them to on that dog prototype happily and willingly even though i really tried on ALOT of stuff. you can never get that in sg, where scowls and "cannot open and see" greets you. i got my dog a necklace, basically the missing space in between you see in the 3rd picture, hello btw which dog wears bling bling here? and a snakeskin leash complete with a silver heart and blue rhinestones. and tanks with cross necklaces. and they had swarovski feather fedoras, cute plaid and wool outfits, and even pearl necklaces. let's just say my dog has a hell lot of nice stuff, and whoa did i spend quite a bit of money there.
supermarkets there are like, HUGE too. you have rows of japanese products, then korean, then american and so on. its like the world in one stop. really crazy in there.
apparently they have a shopping concierge in siam paragon. they caught sight of me and mervyn struggling with my bags, cos i went shopping berserk in paragon of all places, and they actually dispatched a shopping bellboy to carry my shopping and follow me and carry more stuff. eunice was nowhere to be seen cos she left for massage- i was really useless and i laughed till i almost died and gave up after one try, so mervyn just followed me to provide extra hands as i did my crazy shopping since eunice found paragon too expensive for her and decided on a massage. anyway point is, where do you find shopping concierges and bellboys to carry your shopping and follow you around the stores in singapore? now this is
good service. all that talk about having good enough service in singapore is really nonsense. we have a long long loooong way to go. and yes the service is provided free, although i did give plenty of tips. cos it was really good service, the bellboy brought us out and got us a cab and we got express svc without having to queue with the rest for taxis-the queue cld rival taka's taxi stand queues, and he was all smiles even though he had to carry so much. fantastic service! ok i think i got my point across.
string quartet in a department store. now that's what i call shopping.
don't think i bought proper things. i bought a TOILET BRUSH of all things. long story, but anyhow yeah i actually lugged a toilet brush back. ok mervyn did cos i didn't have enough luggage space. i left with 1, and i came back with umm, 5. but like said, i didn't really buy proper things. majority was for my mom. dresses in paragon are really expensive-about 900SGD, but really pretty. i need to go with my parents.
eunice with beer chang, and danni with vodka chang. wild drinking man. ok so that's water chang. hello i was a really good girl. after 2 weeks straight of drinking 24/7, enough was enough.
multi-coloured building that greeted me every morning.
eunice, and her weird dreams.
uber expensive jim thompson. my home furnishings are from there, and i travelled down all the way just to buy my mom things.
the top uni and the uni that gets my salute.
is it me, or is this picture really suggestive? that's a floormat in my dad's friend's car btw.
yummy dunkin donuts! i'm crazy about it. why don't we have any krispykremes, mister donut or dunkin' donuts here?
the cutest barbie-esque car ever.
wave hi to pimpomchat helloiamactuallyatranny!
and it's back home!
